Avro Vulcan B2 XM609 of No 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron at RAF Waddington. Unwittingly, I photographed the SSA at the same time (background) which may have proved unwise. Considering it was on the other side of a main road, it was hardly a well-kept secret and it didn't take too much to imagine what was underneath the bomb-shaped covers on the convoys as they crossed the road.
