Exercise Dawn Patrol 1975. 617 Squadron had a secondary MRR role and this shot of the 'enemy' CV-42 USS Franklin D Roosevelt in the Mediterranean Sea was taken during a perilous self-probe. The 'enemy' carrier was readily located by TACAN! The safety officer on board requested a second pass so the 'boys could get some photographs!'
