The side windows could be completely covered for anti-flash purposes though this was never used in peacetime. The smoked Perspex sunscreens were invariably down at high-level during the day. The letters 'WA...' (= Waddington) can be read on the webbing. The table (lower-right) indicates the pre-set frequencies of the ARC52 UHF transceiver. The AEO had a PTR175 which was essentially an ARC52 with both UHF and VHF.
