Vulcan B2 XL319 of No 35 Squadron at RAF Leuchars in 1979. 319 was delivered to No 617 Squadron in November 1961 and later pooled into the 'Scampton' Blue Steel Wing. After conversion to the free fall role, 319 continued to fly from Scampton, mainly with 230 OCU (from September 1972) and No 35 Squadron (from October 1978). Transferred to Waddington in March 1982, 319 flew with No 44(Rhodesia) Squadron before being retired to the North-Eastern Aircraft Museum at Sunderland in January 1983.
