Vulcan B2 XM602 of No 101 Squadron at RAF Greenham Common in June 1981. 602 was participating in the flying display at the International Air Tattoo. 602 was delivered to No 12 Squadron at Coningsby in November 1963 and was absorbed into the Coningsby Wing. This moved to Cottesmore in November 1964. 602 was exchanged with the Waddington Wing in 1968 and was allocated to IX Squadron in 1975, 50 Squadron in 1979 and 101 Squadron in 1980. 602 was flown to St Athan for preservation in 1982 but was scrapped in 1993. The nose section is preserved by the Avro Heritage Society.
