Vulcan B2 XM655 of No 101 Squadron at RAF Waddington in September 1979. 655 was delivered to the Cottesmore Wing in November 1964 and transferred to Waddington in January 1968. 655 was allocated to No 101 Squadron in May 1972 and later served on Nos 44 (Rhodesia) and 50 Squadrons as the Vulcan force was run down. 655 was delivered to Wellesbourne Mountford in February 1984. The engines were run for the first time for two years in 2002.
