Vulcan B2 XJ823 of No 50 Squadron at RAF Alconbury in June 1982. 823 as pictured was something of a hybrid having previously been in service with No 27 Squadron as a B2 MRR - hence the gloss finish and the white blade aerials forward of the static heads. It has since had its TFR restored yet its in-flight refuelling probe has been robbed - presumably for use on a Nimrod or a C-130 in the Falklands' theatre.
