Avro Vulcan B2 XM652 of No 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron at RAF Finningley in September 1980. Photographer Trevor Thornton describes this as a 'typical foggy day' but this day wasn't typical at all. It was Battle of Britain weekend and the whole of the flying display was washed-out. A Nimrod made a roller in the gloom and that was about it. I know because I was there!
