Avro Vulcan B2 XL391 at RAF Waddington circa 1979. In July 1979, returned to Waddington from a modification programme at Bitteswell and rejoined No IX Squadron. 391 was chosen to go to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana to participate in SAC's Giant Voice bombing competition and is shown above in No 1 Group markings. In June 1980, 391 was allocated to No 101 Squadron.
