Avro Vulcan B1 XA890 at the Farnborough Air Show in September 1955. 890 was the second production B1 and is shown fitted with the original wing. It's pilot at the Air Show, Wg Cdr Roly Falk demonstrated the aircraft's strength and manoeuvability on the first day by executing a barrel-roll immediately after take-off. 890 was engaged in numerous trials until it was scrapped at Bedford in 1971.
